Over the last few years I’ve had this brilliant idea in mind that I was going to reinvent myself. Each time I thought I would just be something completely different from what my personality allowed, something way too far out in left field to ever actually work for me.

So I thought more seriously about it and decided that what I really wanted was to have a comfortable life with a good dog who could go hiking with me. Simple, yeah? And then if we could have a woman in our lives who would also be into it so we wouldn’t have to cut our hikes short because of this, that or the other reason … Then that would be heaven.

Long story short: I’m currently in heaven.

What a weekend.
